Locail - Local directory file search

Locail is a simple file search for your folders. This is completely PRIVATE and LOCAL to your own PC.

What it does:

Indexes whichever folder you pass it.  This is more or less a one-time lengthy set-up to gather all the data of the directory.  After searching, you can click on the file and it will open up the directory and bring you to the file.

This runs in the background to watch for file changes in the given directory and updates the index accordingly. The default shortcut to bring it up/down is ctrl+alt+space

Advanced version:  Comes with an image recognition model.

The regular version comes with everything needed. Including if you are looking to hook it up to your local llm. 

Security: 

All data here is completely private to you on the computer. Nothing is being transmitted out of the application. All cached data can be found in your "%localappdata%/Locail" folder.

Additional features :

These are disabled by default you can enable them in options.

Machine Learning Photo Recognition - This is traditional ML  to help categorize the images. Indexing will give a % of what this image could be for example : 50% potato 50% human. Good if you have some photo with questionable names.

For the more technically advanced, there is a local AI capability so you can download your own gguf file and run it via the gui or web.  Performance is dependent on your local AI. There is no tool given for it to edit/modify files so it will never be able to delete the files. 

The full workspace is a webpage that can be easier to use for some users who prefer more traditional webapps.

Notes: 

Quite useful for finding the game sprites of effects (things that say good excellent etc.)  i randomly name since it can recognize the text from images/pdf/xlx etc.
